VIVID is a highly versatile AI SoC reference platform in a leading-edge 5nm technology which provides superior KPIs with respect to power, performance and area (PPA). The central element of the 5nm reference chip platform is our highly scalable unified processor architecture which allows to process all demanding algorithms on the same programmable processor architecture due to its unique combination of versatility and efficiency perfected in continuous evolutionary optimizations over the past 20 years, proven in serial production use in more than 25 million vehicles to date.

Unlike other SoCs addressing this market, our v-MP6000UDX unified processing platform makes separate specialized cores for AI, vision, signal processing, graphics, imaging, or video codecs obsolete. This radically reduces the overall complexity of the SoC while increasing flexibility through a fully programmable architecture to support different use cases at equally high silicon utilization. Our unified platform thus significantly reduces data transfers, simplifies software programming and orchestration of processing subsystems, and certification of functional safety.

Besides the architecture and SoC design in 5nm technology, we provide optimized software modules (APIs) for various application classes, a full SDK including an automated AI mapping flow, and further exploration and sign-off tools. With the scalability from 1 to 1,000+ cores on a single die, the same solution can be used for tiny embedded devices, like smart sensors, up to central high-performance computing solutions providing 100% software compatibility between these different implementations to preserve large software investments.
